Gyratec X

Gyratec X is a native plugin that recreates the Gyraf Audio Gyratec X, a true all-tube stereo Vari-Mu compressor known for its exceptional speed. This digital version brings the same fast, musical compression to your DAW, letting you tame transients and sudden peaks without sacrificing punch or impact. Its smooth high-pass filtering allows aggressive low-end compression without muddying the sound, while the all-tube design adds warm, vintage color that becomes more pronounced the harder you drive it. With a no-feedback signal path and pure Class-A topology, it delivers organic mids and an open high end. Ideal for genres from vintage rock to pop, it excels on drums, bass, and full mixes. It suits producers seeking characterful, versatile compression. Available as a native plugin for Mac and PC, and as a Synergy Core real-time version for compatible Antelope Audio hardware.
