Hapi Drums

Soundiron Hapi Drums brings the rounded tones and shimmering overtones of four steel tongue drums into your music. Built by instrument makers Grahm Doe and Tricia Kelly, the sampled collection spans the low D minor Origin, two midrange Slim Tuneable drums and the bright, compact Tini. Soft rubber mallets, hard metal picks and nylon jazz brushes offer contrasting attacks, while long, mellow sustains make the sounds a natural fit for ambient tracks, cinematic textures and relaxed melodic beats. Choose between stereo Neumann and binaural Rode recordings for two distinct tonal perspectives. Play each drum independently, isolate individual tongues or combine all four into a chromatic instrument. The modular interface lets you mix, layer and retune sounds, making Hapi Drums appealing to producers and composers who want expressive tuned percussion with an organic character.
