Hopkin Instrumentarium: Rattletines

Soundiron Hopkin Instrumentarium: Rattletines is a Kontakt instrument library built around Bart Hopkin’s handmade tuned percussion creations. Its sampled tine plucks and body slaps combine warm resonance with metallic rattles, buzzing overtones and cleaner plucked tones. Three distinctive instruments—Rattletine, Mahogany and Hacksaw Blades—provide characterful material for offbeat melodies, textured rhythms and atmospheric scoring. Two stereo microphone positions offer different perspectives on the acoustic recordings, while layered articulations, envelope controls, filters and pitch adjustments let you reshape their response. For more adventurous sounds, explore the ambient content, 20 custom FX presets, flexible LFO and modular effects rack. An adjustable arpeggiator adds movement, and key and scale locking helps keep melodic experiments focused. It suits producers and composers looking for organic percussion with unusual mechanical detail, whether used as an intimate melodic voice or transformed into evolving textures.
