Its 25 chromatically tuned metal tines interact with randomly tuned sympathetic strings, creating crisp, droplet-like attacks followed by delicate, ghostly resonance. Sampled tine plucks and hand slaps on the wooden body offer both melodic and percussive textures, captured from two stereo microphone positions. It’s a distinctive choice for hobby producers and composers building ambient tracks, cinematic cues or atmospheric electronic music. Shape each part with envelope, pitch and filter controls, then add movement using the flexible LFO and customizable arpeggiator. Key and scale locking helps keep melodic ideas focused, while layering and crossfading expand the instrument’s expressive range.
