HY-Plugins HY-ESG is a free gate sequencer effect that turns sustained audio into rhythmic patterns. Aimed at hobby producers looking for trance-style gating and evolving volume movement, it uses a Euclidean sequencer rather than a conventional step grid. Adjusting the steps and pulses gives you a different way to build repeating rhythms for pads, chords, or other sustained sounds.

The Gate section provides ADSR envelope controls to shape each triggered event. Use shorter settings for tight, clipped accents, or soften the envelope for gentler rhythmic movement. Output gain and a mix control let you balance the processed signal within your track.

For patterns that change over time, HY-ESG includes three modulation sources, each offering LFO or sample-and-hold modes. Modulation can target the envelope, mix, and sequencer controls.
