Hyperion Percussion: Marimba

Hyperion Percussion: Marimba is a deeply detailed virtual marimba library from Soundiron, sampled from a full-scale Adams Alpha 5-octave rosewood instrument. It includes four mallet types—medium soft yarn, medium yarn, hard yarn, and soft rubber—each with 10 round-robin variations and 12 dynamic layers per note, capturing every nuance of concert performance. The close, wide stereo position lets you shape the stereo field across the key range, while the Space tab offers flexible reverb and placement options. The Kontakt interface provides extensive sound-shaping controls including swell, attack, release, offset, vibrato, filter, pitch, and articulation switching, plus an LFO system, 12 filter types, a customizable arpeggiator, and a modular FX rack with 27 DSP modules. Ideal for film scoring, ambient textures, and melodic percussion in pop or electronic productions, it suits composers and producers seeking expressive, realistic marimba tones.
