Hyperion Strings Micro

Hyperion Strings Micro by Soundiron brings a focused orchestral string ensemble to the free Native Instruments Kontakt Player. Recorded up close in a dry room at Fantasy Studios, its strings have a direct, solid character that works for cinematic arrangements, pop hooks, rock layers and EDM breakdowns. Start with the combined ensemble preset or write separate parts for eight violins, six violas, five cellos and four double basses. Essential articulations include vibrato and non-vibrato sustains, staccatos, spiccatos, pizzicatos, plus long crescendos and decrescendos. Crossfade dynamic layers with the Swell control, blend sustain styles, or use velocity-sensitive short articulations for hands-on phrasing. Spatial and positioning controls help shape the ensemble’s placement and ambience. It’s an approachable starting point for songwriters exploring orchestration, with enough expressive control to give experienced composers a useful additional string palette.
