IEM Plug-in Suite is a free, open-source collection of audio effects and utilities for Ambisonic production, with support for up to seventh-order Ambisonics. Developed by staff and students at the Institute of Electronic Music and Acoustics, it is aimed at producers, sound designers and audio enthusiasts exploring spatial sound rather than working exclusively in stereo.

The collection covers encoding, decoding, processing and visualisation. StereoEncoder, MultiEncoder and RoomEncoder provide encoding options, while BinauralDecoder, SimpleDecoder and AllRADecoder address decoding tasks. SceneRotator and CoordinateConverter offer tools for handling spatial scenes and coordinates, with EnergyVisualizer providing a way to inspect spatial energy.

For further processing, the suite includes DualDelay, FdnReverb, MultiEQ and several compressors, alongside utilities such as DistanceCompensator and MatrixMultiplier. This makes it a useful starting point for learning Ambisonic workflows or assembling a broader spatial audio toolkit.
