InstaScale

InstaScale by W. A. Production is a scale-based MIDI processor that turns 16 keys into a flexible way to play melodies. Instead of triggering fixed pitches, its smart keys choose notes according to your selected scale, the previous note’s position and each key’s assigned action. Route the MIDI output to your preferred instrument to explore new melodic patterns without changing your sound palette. It’s useful for sketching ideas, discovering unexpected phrases and practising scales, modes and intervals by ear. The home feature lets you focus on a particular note and hear how it relates to the rest of the scale. You can also map compatible drum pads to the required keys for a different playing experience. InstaScale suits curious beginners and experienced producers who want an alternative to conventional keyboard playing, with a compatible DAW and MIDI routing setup.
