Jonas Eriksson Tape Fiasco 2 is a Windows VST3 multi-effect for producers who want to reshape audio loops into evolving, playable patterns. It suits beatmakers, electronic musicians and sound designers working with rhythmic edits, tape-style movement and glitch textures.
Four independent time-processing engines operate together and can be arranged in any order. The granular stretcher handles slowing, freezing and scrubbing, while the tape engine adds wow, flutter, stops and scratching. A rhythmic slicer creates subdivision-based repeats, and BendIt manipulates buffered audio with a seven-zone pitch control ranging from gentle instability to grid-quantized scratch effects.
Another 25 effects cover spectral filtering, modal resonance, distortion, bit degradation and circuit-bent processing. A final master section provides three-band EQ, compression, soft limiting and automatic gain control.
For movement and hands-on control, Tape Fiasco 2 includes LFOs, random modulation, envelope followers, Bezier graph editors and sequencers. Four performance macros and an X/Y pad each address up to five destinations, with host automation recording available for building repeatable gestures in compatible hosts such as FL Studio and Ableton Live.
