Kanto Karaoke Player and Recorder is a Windows karaoke application for home singers, vocal practice and live karaoke sessions. It combines backing-track playback, on-screen lyrics and voice recording, so you can sing along to a song and capture your performance over the music. Microphone settings let you adjust your recording setup.

Supported file types include MIDI, KAR, MP3, MP3+CDG and karaoke video formats such as AVI, WMV, MOV, MPEG, FLV and MP4. Open a track with Quick Open File to begin playback, or organize songs into playlists for longer practice sessions and events. Playlist management supports unlimited songs, while live performance management helps with running a karaoke session.

For singers working with video backing tracks, pitch and key adjustment can move a song into a more comfortable vocal range. MIDI-to-MP3 conversion is also available, with the option to include or omit the melody track and use soundfonts for the rendered sound.
