Kiriki Liszt MeowMu Compressor is a free, 64-bit Windows VST3 effect for controlling audio dynamics, with vocals as its main intended use. Based on the airwindows VariMu compressor, it adjusts the original design’s timing behavior and gain handling. It is aimed at home producers who want a vocal compressor for a Windows setup in FL Studio, Ableton Live, or another DAW that supports VST3 effects.

The Speed control changes attack and release together: lower settings slow both responses, while higher settings make them faster. At a Speed value of 0.6, the stated attack time is approximately 5 ms, with a release of 120 ms. This gives you a useful reference point when adjusting how quickly the compressor responds to a vocal performance.

MeowMu also bypasses VariMu’s muMakeupgain stage and replaces the output trim with a Gain control. Version 1.3.0 is supplied in VST3 format for Windows only; it does not support macOS or Linux, so it is not an option for Logic Pro users.
