LANG PEQ-2

The LANG PEQ-2 is a native plugin recreation of a rare program equalizer often called the “Transistor Pultec,” modeled from Heritage Audio’s 2022 hardware reissue. It gives you independent Boost and Droop (cut) controls for both the High and Low bands, so you can boost and cut at the same or nearby frequencies to shape distinctive, musical curves. Alongside Low Shelf Boost and Cut and High Shelf Cut, a High Peak Boost with variable Q lets you move from razor-sharp to broad tonal shaping, with the boost range adapting to your Bandwidth setting for a smooth, natural response. Its simple layout hides surprising range, making it ideal for opening up drums, adding weight and air to vocals, or gently sculpting full mixes. It suits hobby producers and mixing engineers chasing vintage-flavored color and creative tone shaping in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic.
