Lap Harp v1.5

Lap Harp v1.5 by Cinematique Instruments brings the bright, intimate tone of an Eastern European lap harp to Kontakt. Close-miked metal strings deliver a detailed, organic sound, with plectrum, thumb and piano-hammer articulations offering distinct attacks and textures. Four round robins and two velocity layers add variation, while chromatic tuning lets you move beyond the acoustic instrument’s usual diatonic range. Scripted glissando and tremolo functions help shape flowing phrases, and the v1.5 update adds an arpeggiator alongside new presets and effects. Reverb, delay, chorus, rotary, octave and filter controls take the sound from delicate plucks to more spacious, animated layers. With 34 sound sources and over 50 presets in one patch, it suits producers and composers seeking an unusual acoustic lead or subtle background detail. Requires the full version of Kontakt 5.8.1 or later.
