Lifeline Format

Format by Excite Audio is a creative degradation effect that lets you intentionally reduce audio resolution for character, texture, and controlled digital damage. Its four algorithms cover distinct flavours: Degrade lowers bit depth for gritty distortion, Resample reduces sample rate for aliasing artefacts, Flatten gates and bitcrushes transients for punchy lo-fi movement, and Washed creates a submerged, corrupted-MP3 wash. A Crush control with multiband processing, plus frequency smoothing and noise generation, gives you fine control over how far you push the destruction. Use it subtly to add warm, grainy layers to drums, synths, or vocals, or go extreme for harsh digital deconstructions and experimental sound design. With dry/wet mix, output gain, tone, and multiband gain/effect processing, Format suits hobby producers and sound designers working in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic who want to inject lo-fi grit, movement, and creative imperfection into their tracks.
