Iron Deck is a free tape machine emulation plugin with two fully independent channels, letting you treat stereo tracks as two separate reel-to-reel decks. The REC knob drives input into tanh-based saturation and a soft-knee RMS compressor, adding even harmonics at low settings and odd harmonics as you push harder. Three signal path modes shape the tone: REPRO for full tape playback coloration with IEC/NAB EQ, INPUT for a cleaner record-amp character, and SYNC for a mid-forward monitoring curve. Tape speed (7.5 or 30 IPS) and bias adjustment further tailor the low and high-end response. Each channel has its own state and DSP, so you can run a matched pair or deliberately mismatch settings for creative width. On mono tracks, only the left channel activates. Ideal for hobby producers using FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic who want authentic tape weight and glue without complexity. Runs as VST3, AU on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
