Martinic Colorsound Tremolo brings the pulsing volume modulation of a classic guitar pedal into a plugin. It recreates both the 1974 and 1996 versions of the Colorsound Tremolo, giving producers two interpretations of the original hardware within one effect. Macaris tested and authorized the recreation, connecting the software to the pedal’s heritage.

The original Colorsound design came from Larry and Joe Macari of Sola Sound in the 1970s. Its four-transistor circuit took inspiration from the tremolo in the VOX AC30 tube amplifier. The pedal later found users among guitarists including Joe Bonamassa, Phil Manzanera, and Green Day.

For hobby producers and guitar players who want pedal-inspired tremolo in their recordings, this plugin offers a focused way to add rhythmic changes in loudness. It is particularly relevant to guitar-based productions where a vintage tremolo character is part of the sound.
