Venomode Maximal 3 is a loudness maximiser that combines a true-peak brickwall limiter, adjustable soft clipping and detailed loudness metering. Use it to lift a finished mix, tame sharp peaks on individual tracks or bring a bus together with a warmer, more driven feel. Four limiter modes plus attack and release controls let you move between transparent level control, transient-conscious limiting and deliberate pumping. The clipper’s variable curve ranges from hard peak shaving to softer saturation, making it useful for both corrective and creative processing. Lookahead true-peak detection helps control inter-sample peaks, while up to 16x oversampling with linear-phase filters reduces aliasing. LUFS and true-peak meters follow ITU-R BS.1770-4, with adjustable loudness targets for workflows such as EBU R128. It suits home producers who want flexible mastering dynamics and clear loudness feedback in one effect.
