MaxSynths Cryologic is a Windows soundfont instrument that combines a bundled sound library with a straightforward player for building layered patches. It suits hobby producers who want to shape bass parts, chord accompaniments and textured sounds without a complicated synthesis workflow.

At its core are three SF oscillators, letting you stack up to three sounds and adjust the level, stereo position and octave of each layer independently. This makes it easy to balance contrasting tones or spread a patch across different registers. A state-variable filter provides further tonal control, with an X-Y controller offering another way to adjust its response.

Two arpeggiators help turn your sound choices into moving patterns, from automatic bass lines to more involved chord-based passages and evolving textures. Built-in reverb, delay and ring modulation add space, repeats and tonal character within the instrument itself.

Cryologic includes a 456 MB soundfont library, providing material to explore in Windows music-production setups such as FL Studio or Ableton Live, subject to host compatibility.
