MCharacter by MeldaProduction is a harmonic shaping effect for monophonic audio, giving you precise control over the tonal character of vocals, bass, saxophone, trumpet and other single-note sources. Rather than adjusting fixed frequency bands like a conventional EQ, it follows the pitch and lets you balance the first 32 harmonics. Use it to reshape an instrument’s harmonic balance, emphasize upper harmonics or explore more unusual timbres. Two synthesis graphs also let you introduce missing harmonics and additional tones, including a sub-octave. For evolving textures, its modulation sources include LFOs, an audio level follower, envelopes, randomization and pitch detection.
