Mellotron V

Arturia Mellotron V recreates the distinctive tape keyboard sound behind decades of psychedelic rock and progressive pop. Its orchestral recordings deliver strings, brass and woodwinds with the flutter, saturation and noise that give a Mellotron its unmistakably imperfect character. Rather than offering a static collection of samples, this virtual instrument lets you shape the tape-replay behavior and blend instrument sounds to suit your arrangement. You can also load your own samples into the engine, giving modern recordings a vintage tape treatment. Use it for hazy chord layers, nostalgic melodies or orchestral textures that feel less polished than a contemporary sample library. With sounds drawn from classic Mellotron tape banks and adjustable controls for their quirks, Mellotron V suits home producers, keyboard players and anyone looking to add retro personality to rock, indie or experimental tracks.
