MetaFlanger

MetaFlanger by Waves recreates the lush, swirling character of classic tape-reel flanging from the 1960s. Unlike basic flangers, it delivers authentic thru-zero flanging with true null points, letting you dial in hollow, zinging tones or subtle chorusing and doubling. Delay times from 0 to 50 ms cover phasing, flanging, and chorusing, while high- and lowpass filter modes let you thin or warm the affected audio. A stereo spread control collapses perfectly to mono, and you can sync modulation to your host or freeze the effect with the stop button. Link mode ties depth and modulation together for cohesive movement. With 34 presets, including artist settings from Grammy winners, it’s ideal for hobby producers crafting psychedelic guitar swirls, ethereal vocals, rotating speaker vibes, or full-mix flanging. Whether you’re adding vintage movement to a track or experimenting with special effects, MetaFlanger brings that unmistakable tape-flanged sound to your DAW.
