MiMU The Jellyfish is a granular synthesizer that turns recorded audio into evolving textures, sustained drones and rhythmic pulses. Rather than starting with conventional oscillator sounds, it uses your voice, instruments or imported recordings as the raw material for real-time sound creation.
Record an input directly into the engine to reshape a live performance, or drag and drop an existing sound to explore a different direction. MIDI mapping for audio markers lets you build playable instruments from your source material. You can also store patches as presets for later sessions and use the included audio library when you want a starting point without recording anything new.
The Jellyfish suits hobby producers, sound designers and musicians interested in ambient layers, experimental parts or audio-based instruments. This Windows version runs on Windows 10 or later and provides VST3 and standalone options. Use it within a compatible host such as FL Studio or Ableton Live, or open the standalone application to experiment outside your DAW.
