Tone Empire Model 5000 is a hybrid VCA compressor built for punch, weight, and flexible bus processing. Combining compression characteristics inspired by British console hardware with an American-style KNOCK circuit, it can gently tighten a mix or give drums a more forceful low-end presence. The British-inspired ratio, attack, and release controls shape the dynamics, while KNOCK delivers low-end sidechain compression with added bass weight. For extra character, switch on TransX transformer coloration: increasing the input gain drives more analog-style solid-state saturation. Selectable oversampling settings—off, 2x, 4x, or 8x—let you balance processing demands against improved frequency response and peak detection.
