Model 84 Polyphonic Synthesizer

Softube Model 84 Polyphonic Synthesizer brings the character of a classic 1984 six-voice synth into your DAW. Component-level circuit modelling captures the original instrument’s quirks and nonlinear behaviour, delivering an unmistakably ’80s sound for synthwave tracks, retro pop arrangements, and characterful basslines. Two polyphonic modes recreate the hardware’s voice allocation, while its EQ includes a bass boost for added low-end weight. Recreated factory presets offer a quick starting point for exploring familiar vintage textures without programming every patch from scratch. Beyond the main instrument, Model 84 includes a chorus for Softube Amp Room and seven modules for Softube Modular, extending its appeal to producers working in those environments. It suits hobbyists and experienced synth players who want hardware-inspired tone, accessible preset recall, and room to explore classic polyphonic sounds in modern productions.
