Modnetic

Modnetic by Surreal Machines combines tape delay, spring reverb and modulation in a flexible multi-effects plugin inspired by 1970s analog hardware. Its sound ranges from warm, vintage echoes to clean digital movement and deliberately rough-edged textures, making it useful for dub delays, atmospheric synths and adding character to drums or vocals. The Echo section offers three combinable virtual tape heads, two reverse delay effects and a hold mode for sustained loops. Reverb draws on 35 carefully crafted impulse responses, while chorus, flanger and phaser options cover BBD-inspired analog models and digital variations. Four vintage machine characters let you shape the tone of the delay and modulation, with adjustable intensity. Flexible routing and clickless real-time changes suit producers who enjoy experimenting in the studio or manipulating effects during live performance.
