Modular Add-On: Doepfer A-101-2 Vactrol LPG

Softube Modular Add-On: Doepfer A-101-2 Vactrol LPG brings the expressive response of a low pass gate to your virtual modular rack. Combining a vactrol-controlled 12 dB low pass filter with a voltage-controlled amplifier, it shapes synth patches with warm, woody tones and organic movement. Use it for rounded plucks, acoustic-like textures, or more aggressive sounds as you push the Resonance control toward self-oscillation. A dedicated Vact switch offers fast, medium, and slow response settings, capturing the timing differences found between analog vactrols. Choose Low Pass, LPG, or VCA operation, with auxiliary mode control available through the G1 and G2 inputs. More than 30 presets provide starting points for exploring its character. This expansion suits Softube Modular users who want tactile, musical tone shaping and flexible patch control. Softube Modular is required; it is not a standalone effect.
