MusicLab RealEight 6 is a sample-based 8-string electric guitar instrument for producers writing rock, metal, and pop tracks. It handles lead melodies, rhythm riffs, chord accompaniments, and bass-style parts, making it useful for keyboard players and home-studio musicians who want to build guitar arrangements with MIDI.
The library uses 24-bit dry recordings captured directly from the guitar’s pickups, leaving you free to shape the tone with your preferred amp simulator. Articulations include muted notes, bridge mutes, harmonics, pinch harmonics, slides, and scrapes. Key switches, velocity, pedals, MIDI CC, and automation give you control over performance details rather than relying on sustained notes alone.
Play parts from a MIDI keyboard, program them in your DAW, or use the built-in Song sequencer to combine chord symbols with recorded rhythm patterns. A chording and strumming engine supports guitar-specific voicings across 30 chord types, including inversions, extensions, and alterations. Version 6 also supports external guitar FX processors and provides more than 200 tone presets, with Guitarix.vst recommended for using them.
This Windows edition offers VST2, VST3, AAX, and standalone operation.
