Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol 3.0.0 brings sound browsing, instrument control and performance tools together in one plug-in. It is aimed at home producers and keyboard players who want a more organized way to work with KOMPLETE instruments, particularly when using a compatible Kontrol keyboard.

The tag-based browser helps you find and load sounds, while automatic parameter mapping puts key instrument controls within reach on supported hardware. LIGHT GUIDE provides color-coded keyboard zones for compatible instruments and controllers. For building melodic patterns, the Play Assist arpeggiator adds performance-focused sequencing, with version 3.0.0 introducing channel-pressure response.

This update also adds a new Visual Browser, NKS 2 support, Kontrol S MK3 integration, HiDPI display support and host plug-in resizing. Fixes address several scanning, loading and shutdown crashes, alongside improvements to aftertouch handling and interface behavior.

This Windows edition requires Windows 10 with the latest Service Pack or Windows 11. Check your keyboard before updating: Komplete Kontrol 3 does not support Kontrol S MK1 keyboards. MK1 owners should stay on version 2.9.
