Native Instruments MASSIVE X is a wavetable synthesizer for Windows producers who want to build detailed electronic sounds rather than rely only on presets. A successor to MASSIVE, it suits hobby musicians and sound designers looking to create animated basses, evolving textures, and expressive leads.

The oscillator section offers more than 170 wavetables and 10 reading modes, including Gorilla, Hardsync, and Formant options. Two phase-modulation oscillators add further movement to the main oscillators, giving you plenty of ways to shape a patch before exploring the routing section.

Flexible routing lets you experiment with feedback paths, bypass sections, and use modulators as audio sources, including to excite the comb filter. For rhythmic or gradually changing sounds, the Performer section lets you draw modulation patterns and assign them to parameters. Remote Octave control makes those patterns playable from your keyboard.

A resizable interface and selectable skins help adapt the workspace to your setup. The included expansion selection covers Bounce, Drive, Haze, Mechanix, Moebius, Our House, Pulse, Quest, Rush, and Scene.
