NCH Crescendo Masters 6.58 is music notation software for Windows, designed for songwriters, guitarists, composers and producers who want to turn musical ideas into readable scores. It is a notation editor rather than a DAW plugin, with tools for writing standard sheet music, guitar tablature and percussion parts.
Build arrangements using treble, bass, alto or tenor clefs, then set key and time signatures to match your piece. Note values range from whole notes to thirty-second notes, with rests, accidentals, dotted notes, chords, ties, slurs and repeats available. Drum kits and templates help with percussion notation, while linked staves support ensemble scoring.
Editing tools include keyboard shortcuts, drag-to-adjust notes, measure copying and zoom controls. You can also add titles, tempo markings, dynamics and lyrics, or show note names to make scores easier for beginners to read.
Audition compositions through MIDI playback, use supported VSTi instruments for playback sounds, and export MIDI files for further work. Finished scores and blank manuscript sheets can be printed for rehearsals, lessons or handwritten transcription.
