NoirSonance Decompressor v1.0 VST3 AU WiN MAC [FREE]

Decompressor is an upward dynamics processor that brings back life to flat, over-controlled audio. When the RMS level rises above the threshold, it boosts the signal according to the ratio, exaggerating the natural level differences that still exist. This makes rigid drum loops, drum groups, and other consistent material feel more animated and responsive. Seven focused controls include Threshold (-24 to 0 dB), Ratio (1 to 5), Attack (1 to 200 ms), Release (20 to 800 ms), Pre-Gain, Makeup, and Dry/Wet for parallel processing. Use it to add contrast to flat percussion, emphasize existing accents, and create movement in overly controlled tracks. It works best with conservative Ratio and Dry/Wet settings, adjusting timing to follow the groove. Note that it cannot reconstruct information lost to clipping or hard limiting. Ideal for hobby music producers using FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic on Windows or Mac who want to inject energy into stale recordings.
