NoiseWorks GainAim is a loudness control plugin for Windows that automatically adjusts gain toward a level you choose. It suits home producers and mixers who want steadier vocals, easier level matching, or more consistent loudness when comparing processing settings.

Four modes cover different adjustment speeds. Rider handles vocal riding and other leveling tasks while preserving the signal’s dynamics, reducing the need for manual volume automation. Leveler/Matcher makes slower corrections without changing dynamic range, helping you judge EQ or compression without mistaking extra volume for better sound. Fast reaches the target more quickly and changes dynamics, making it useful when auditioning presets. Squash applies the quickest adjustment for more extreme leveling, though it can introduce artifacts.

The target control sets the desired average loudness in decibels. Dynamic-Control lets you leave material below a chosen threshold out of the average-gain calculation. Adjustment speed also responds to the distance between the incoming level and your target, supporting more natural riding. A real-time pre/post analyser shows the loudness changes, while a separate meter displays the gain adjustment being applied.
