Noren Gate

Noren Gate is a gate and expander plugin that removes unwanted noise while giving you precise control over how each sound opens and decays. Three modes—Gate, Expander, and Auto—let you tailor its behavior for vocals, drums, guitar amps, podcasts, and more. Gate mode closes the signal firmly, Expander mode reduces background noise more naturally, and Auto mode analyzes incoming audio to adjust key parameters automatically. Use the Strength control for quick results, then fine-tune with Threshold, Attack, Hold, Release, and Range. A SC Filter prevents low-frequency false triggers from kick drums or vibrations, while SC Listen and Delta monitoring let you hear the detection circuit or only the removed signal. Lookahead settings preserve fast transient attacks, and five factory presets—Vocal, Kick, Snare, Guitar Amp, and Podcast—provide practical starting points. Ideal for cleaning up vocal noise, snare bleed, amp hum, and podcast ambience.
