Old Busted Granny Piano

Old Busted Granny Piano by Soundiron captures the creaks, uneven tuning and worn character of a well-travelled family piano. This sampled instrument covers all 88 keys, including broken strings, with 3–4 velocity layers and round-robin variation across the middle two octaves at medium dynamics. Separate string and key release samples preserve both fading resonance and the soft wooden thud of the mechanism, while pedal effects add extra personality. Switch between tuned and untuned modes for a more controlled performance or a rougher, wonderfully imperfect sound. Shaping controls and 12 blendable atmospheric ambiences take it beyond everyday piano duties into haunting pads and drones. It suits hobby producers and composers looking for characterful soundtrack parts, intimate melodies or eerie textures rather than concert-grand polish. The library includes Kontakt presets and a Reason ReFill version.
