Open Compressor

Open Compressor by Woodstock Audio is a versatile dynamics plugin that combines the core elements of classic compressors with modern tools like clipping, limiting, and auto-threshold. Its modular design lets you tailor the signal path, mimic hardware with peak/RMS modes, feedforward/feedback architecture, and regular/optical ballistics. Real-time visual analysis and a clear, confusion-free interface give you instant feedback, helping you understand exactly how each stage shapes your sound. Use it for everything from smooth, controlled dynamics to bold, brash character, or recreate favorite studio gear. With odd/even saturation, tone control, downward expansion, and upward compression, it’s a workhorse for any genre. Ideal for hobby producers wanting one compressor that covers 99% of tasks, Open Compressor puts you in the pilot seat for better decisions and creative freedom.
