Opto 2A

Opto 2A is a meticulous emulation of the classic tube optical compressor that defined the sound of 1960s broadcasting and recording. Built around the legendary T4 optical attenuator, it delivers exceptionally warm, musical compression with a two-stage release that smooths vocals and adds analog drive when pushed. Its simple Gain and Peak Reduction controls make it easy to dial in natural level control, while a switch transforms it into a limiter. Ideal for vocals and bass, the Opto 2A responds effortlessly to dynamic performances, making it a go-to for singers, voice-over artists, and any producer seeking timeless tube character. It runs as a native plugin on Mac and PC, and also offers Synergy Core real-time processing for compatible Antelope Audio hardware.
