OCS-45 is a cassette tape simulation plugin that brings the character of vintage tape machines to your productions. It is designed for hobby producers who want to add lo-fi warmth, wobble, and grit to their tracks. The plugin includes a wow/flutter section for pitch instability, a distortion panel with five different types, and adjustable cassette quality settings. You can blend the effect with a dry/wet knob and switch to mono for an old single-speaker feel. A dedicated noise section adds authentic hiss, while the dropouts module mimics damaged tape by randomly cutting signal on each channel independently. Four cassette types are modeled: Ferric, Chromium, FeCr, and Metal, each with distinct tonal qualities. A factory preset library makes it easy to find a starting point without deep tweaking. Whether you are making lo-fi hip-hop, synthwave, or just want to age your sounds, OCS-45 offers a straightforward way to get that tape flavor.
