Sonnox Oxford Dynamic EQ – HDX delivers frequency control that responds to your audio, taming troublesome resonances without applying a constant EQ cut. Its five overlapping Oxford Type-3 bands use proportional-Q curves for musical, transparent shaping across individual tracks, instrument groups and the mix bus. Smooth out boomy bass, manage harsh instruments or target drum transients with onset detection instead of relying solely on a level threshold. Each band offers internal or external sidechain control, with processing and detection options for mono, stereo, mid and side signals. Upward and downward compression and expansion provide scope for both corrective work and creative shaping. Suited to producers who want more selective control than static EQ, it also helps refine centre-channel vocals or tighten low-end placement while preserving the surrounding stereo balance.
