Padshop 2

Padshop 2 by Steinberg is a creative synthesizer built around two distinct sound engines: granular and spectral. Rather than traditional oscillators, it lets you import your own samples and reshape them at the microcosmic level—editing grains and building blocks to morph them into entirely new synth textures. With over 570 presets, it’s ready for ambient pads, evolving soundscapes, cinematic atmospheres, and experimental electronic music. You can layer two different sounds in parallel, and the included arpeggiator, FX section, and mod matrix give you plenty of control for sound design. It suits hobby producers and sound designers who want to move beyond standard subtractive synthesis and explore sample-based textures in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic. Whether you’re scoring a film or adding movement to a track, Padshop 2 offers a unique approach to working with samples.
