Patent Sounds Scratchpad VST VST3 AU AAX WiN macOS

Scratchpad is a free virtual instrument from Patent Sounds built with lo-fi production in mind, though its sounds work across hip hop and other genres. It includes 12 instrument presets organized into Keys, Bells, Basses, and Leads, each sampled and selected by the Patent Sounds team. The plugin features built-in noise generators with Vinyl, Tape, and Rain options that can be blended with tonal sounds for a retro texture. A dedicated Lofiness section combines Chorus, Distortion, and Wow/Flutter effects, which can be layered to create degraded or aged tones. Scratchpad runs as VST, VST3, AU, and AAX on Windows and macOS, making it compatible with FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, and other major DAWs. At 809MB, it is a substantial download but offers a focused set of sounds and effects for producers exploring lo-fi, hip hop, and experimental textures. It is suitable for hobbyists and anyone looking to add character to their tracks without spending money.
