Pathfinder Violin

Pathfinder Violin by Ben Osterhouse is a rhythmic legato library for Kontakt that turns chords into expressive, moving phrases. Instead of playing individual notes, you feed it a chord and it generates ostinatos and melodic patterns based on the notes you hold. The phrases are shaped by a graphic notation system of “paths,” giving you intuitive control over the direction and contour of the performance. Each microphrase is a 2–4 second sample that tempo-syncs to your DAW, with a TMPRO multiplier for fine-tuning how samples stretch with your project BPM. A built-in browser offers 227 presets, and a drag-and-drop interface lets you customize them endlessly. It works with the free Kontakt Player and requires activation through Native Access. Ideal for film, game, and electronic producers seeking organic string motion without complex programming.
