AudioThing Pong Glockenspiel is a Kontakt instrument built from a toy glockenspiel struck with ping pong balls rather than traditional mallets. Its playful, bell-like character suits delicate melodies, quirky hooks and atmospheric accents, offering hobby producers an unusual alternative to standard keyboard sounds. Two crossfaded velocity layers provide smooth transitions between soft and hard playing, while three round-robin variations help repeated notes feel less mechanical. Custom performance controls let you reshape the sampled instrument for different musical settings. Beyond the glockenspiel sounds, the collection includes two ambient instruments, two synth pads and two slowed-down instruments created from the original recordings. You get eight Kontakt instrument patches and 110 samples recorded at 44.1 kHz/24-bit, with Kontakt and WAV formats supplied. Pong Glockenspiel requires the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt; it is a software instrument, not a physical glockenspiel.
