Presswerk

Presswerk by u-he is a versatile compressor plugin for shaping dynamics, adding warmth and bringing a mix together. Its adjustable knee, ratio, attack and release let you move from gentle control to assertive compression, while three detection modes offer precise feed-forward response, looser feedback behaviour or an adaptive blend of both. Use sidechain input for ducking and rhythmic pumping, or blend dry and compressed signals internally for parallel compression that preserves a natural feel. Saturation ranges from subtle colour to tape-like overdrive, with soft clipping available to round off excessive peaks. Mid/side processing provides extra control over stereo material, and Dual Phase Rotation introduces a softer, rounder character inspired by outboard gear. Suited to hobby producers who want detailed control without sacrificing musicality, Presswerk handles individual tracks, bus glue and final-mix loudness duties.
