PSP Flare

PSP Flare is a psychoacoustic compressor that keeps levels consistent without the usual artifacts of heavy compression. Originally designed for film and TV post-production, it uses a unique probability-based algorithm with a wide knee to subtly maintain track consistency, leaving audio naturally dynamic. Choose peak or RMS detection, optional auto-release and auto-makeup gain, and use the dry/compressed mix for parallel processing. A preamp section colors the input, while lookahead tames transients and a smooth sidechain high-pass filter with link control keeps low frequencies from triggering unwanted gain reduction. The output brick-wall limiter with adjustable ceiling and release provides final safety.
