Punch 2

Rob Papen Punch 2 is a virtual drum machine that combines drum synthesis, sampled sounds and a built-in pattern sequencer for creating custom kits and rhythmic ideas. Its redesigned main screen puts kit building at the centre of the workflow, while expanded synthesis models offer more ways to shape your percussion. Import your own samples or REX files, assign slices to individual pads and blend them with Punch 2’s internal sounds. Filters, envelopes and granular synthesis on REX and Slice pads let you push familiar loops into more experimental territory. Four FX modules provide further processing, while the Master section includes EQ, compression, limiting and stereo/mono split filtering. With a large included sound collection, Punch 2 suits producers who want ready-to-use drum material alongside deeper tools for programming grooves and designing distinctive percussion.
