EQ560 Free is a 10-band graphic equalizer plugin modeled after the classic American EQ designs of the late 1960s. It offers ten fixed frequency bands from 31 Hz to 16 kHz, each with up to ±12 dB of boost or cut, and uses a proportional Q design that widens the filter bandwidth at lower gain settings and narrows it at higher settings. This makes it easy to shape broad tonal changes across the spectrum or target specific areas with precision. The plugin includes input and output gain controls (±24 dB), a gain compensation display, undo/redo, A/B comparison, and preset management. It also provides oversampling up to 8x, HQ mode for higher-quality antialiasing, and SIMD optimization for multichannel processing. EQ560 Free is suitable for hobby music producers working in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic on Windows or Mac. It is handy for quick tonal adjustments on individual tracks or full mixes, such as adding low end to a thin snare or opening up a dull vocal. The interface is straightforward, with double-click to reset sliders and an EQ IN button to bypass processing.
