Resolume Arena 7 is a standalone live video mixing and media server application for Windows, rather than a VST instrument or effect. It suits music producers building visuals for live sets, VJs performing alongside DJs, and creators working with projection mapping or multi-screen installations.
Trigger clips in real time, reverse or scratch playback, and adjust video tempo to follow the music. Arena combines audio and video playback with effects, while audio analysis lets you animate visual parameters in response to sound. Its projection tools support mapping onto irregular surfaces and edge blending across multiple projectors, from a DJ booth backdrop to larger stage setups.
For hands-on performance, Arena accepts MIDI and OSC control, supports operation from a lighting desk through DMX, and can synchronise playback using SMPTE timecode. It can also send colour information to DMX lighting fixtures. Spout shares visuals with other Windows applications on the same computer, while support for third-party visual effects and VST audio effects expands your processing options. GPU-based rendering handles live compositing, mixing and effects.
