Output REV X-Loops is a loop-based instrument built around layered forward and reversed recordings, turning acoustic sources, field recordings and analog gear into evolving musical textures. Its 2GB uncompressed library spans more than 20 categories, from muted pianos, violin plucks and guitar swells to industrial percussion, analog drums and atmospheric sound design. Loops automatically map across a MIDI keyboard and stay locked to tempo, making it easy to explore combinations and change their key. Shape your ideas with stutter, reverb, delay, EQ, Rage and Lo-Fi effects, or use over 50 FX presets and snapshots as starting points. MIDI-triggered effects add hands-on control for live performance. Suited to producers, composers, DJs and sound designers, REV X-Loops offers textural inspiration for tracks, scores and stage sets. It uses a separate engine and does not require REV.
