Rhythmic Origins

Rhythmic Origins is a deeply sampled Kontakt library featuring 73 concert drums and hand percussion instruments from around the world, curated by UK percussionist David Oliver. Recorded across multiple studios, it captures everything from subtle hand percussion to thunderous concert bass drum strikes with close, room, and additional mic positions for custom mixing. The library includes an adaptable LFO system, 12 filter types, a customizable arpeggiator with velocity table and swing, and a key/scale lock for easy melodic composition. A modular FX rack offers 27 DSP modules across 8 slots, including convolution reverb with 99 real spaces and 40 custom impulses. Ideal for hobby producers seeking authentic, expressive percussion for film, game, and world music, it also complements Oliver’s Rhythmic Odyssey loop library. Whether you need delicate shakers or massive taiko hits, this toolbox delivers full-bodied tone and clarity.
